Owing to its history and culture, Algeria offers several attractions and activities. Algiers is ideal for history buffs; the ruins at Djemila, Tipasa and Timgad are a must-visit. Other important attractions include the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Bardo Ethnographic and Local Art Museum.

Discover the historical city of Tlemcen at Hauts Plateaux; here, you will also find the Grand Mosque, Almohad ramparts and Masourah Fortress. The vast expanse of the Sahara offers interesting stops and sites. Places of note are Beni-Isguen and Ouargla.

Being the second-largest country in Africa, Algeria has plenty to offer. Ain Sefra, or the gateway to the Sahara, Annaba with its serene atmosphere, Batna with its ancient Roman ruins and Ghardaia, a place that takes you back in time, are all worth a visit.

Kabylia and the Chiffa Gorges are ideal for an adventure. The Turquoise Coast or the Sidi Fredj Peninsula boasts a breathtaking view of the ocean.
