Botswana's capital, Gaborone with 200,000 inhabitants is a charming and characteristic
city, which lies in the flat valley between Kgale and Oodi hills, on the Notwane
River in the south eastern corner of Botswana, 15km from the South African border
post at Tlokweng.
The city was founded in1890 by Gaborone Matlapin, an African chief.
Gaborone is the seat of government as well as the country's commercial and administrative
heart, and it has a small international airport.
