The cool and dry period between November and February is the best time to visit Cameroon. It is best to avoid the harmattan—the winds that blow sands from the Sahara—from December to February, and the rainy season from May to November.

Cameroon celebrates the Christian and Muslim holy festivals with equal frenzy and diligence. Muslim holy days of Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and Eid Milad Nnabi are celebrated in different months based on the Islamic calendar.
