No specific vaccinations are required for entering Cape Verde. However, a Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended. Yellow fever vaccination is compulsory for someone who is coming from an infected area. The drinking water available is unsafe and should not be consumed without prior treatment. The milk available is unpasteurised.

Medical facilities available in the country are limited. However, visitors are granted free medical treatment on showing their passports. Regardless, travel insurance is highly recommended.

Cape Verde is a fairly safe place to travel to. It is politically stable and poses no major threats for its visitors. The only possible danger is that due to the occasional hazardous sea conditions around the island.
