The town is noted for its traditional wooden houses (rare in this region of the continent), which lie on the banks of the Oubangui River and make for an excellent photograph.
Visit the capital city Bangui and explore the interesting Boganda Museum, the Cathedral, the Saint Paul Mission, overlooking the river, and the Central Market, where you can get souvenirs like malachite necklaces. There are adequate bars and nightclubs to keep the tourists on their feet all night.
A few kilometres outside the town of Zinga are the 50-metre-tall Chutes de Boali waterfalls, which are spectacular to watch in the rainy season. Make sure you visit on a Sunday. Also visit M'Baïki for its exquisite ebony sculptures.
The remote Dzanga-Sangha National Park is a popular national holiday retreat with its gorillas and elephant population, while the relaxing village of Bayanga can be found nearby on the banks of the Sangha River.
