Kitchener's Island is a wonderful island on the Nile River in the vicinity of Aswan. There is another island Elephantine which is much larger than Kitchener's Island. So it is difficult to see the smaller Kitchener's Island from Aswan. The island largely contributes as a botanical garden. It is much popular among the local people and is also a tourist spot for picnics or for spending a quiet afternoon away from the crowded city.
