The best ways of getting around in the city are taxis and the subway system. Apart from this, Cairo offers river buses as well that follow specific routes on the Nile.
The Cairo International Airport is approximately 23 km from the city centre. There is an air-conditioned bus from the airport to behind the Egyptian Museum. It charges 2LE+0.5LE per piece of luggage.
