In winter, especially January, the temperature is in or around 0 degrees. (Normally the colder months are from November to January)
The locals wrap up and generally wear something on their heads
Inside it can be colder as the floors are usually tiled and they are designed to be cold in the hot summer months (not so good for winter)
Take a jacket/sweater/scarf, and wear socks! (a little strange if you’ve been her in the summer!). Also, a pair of gloves might be a good idea
Summer in Cairo is hot and at night it's high 20'.
You can wear trainers/sneakers for anything that you do. Flip flops or sandals are also a good alternative.
In winter the days are hot but it can be quite windy. Bring a scarf to wrap over your face.
Sun Glasses a must as well as a hat, wide brimmed until you get used to the heat and sun screen.
