The Temple of Karnak or the Karnak Temple Complex comprises of many collection of ruined chapels, temples, pylons and other buildings mainly the Great Temple of Amen. Karnak is the sites modern name with the ancient name being Ipet-isut, which means "The Most Select (or Sacred) of Places". The site was the main place of worship of the Theban Triad, the 18th dynasty with the Amun God as its head.
