The southernmost beach resort area along the Red Sea Riviera boasts some of the rarest and most beautiful coral reefs in the World; reknowned by divers world wide, both amateurs and serious divers can catch glimpses of species of sharks, found nowhere else in the World.
A visit to the spinner dolphins, SamadaiReef, home to over 100 spinner dolphins that are happy to swim and play with divers!
In addition, Elphinstone Reef is considered one of the premiere diving sites in the Red Sea. It ia an amazing reef that plunges over 70m vertically.
The entire off shore of Marsa Alam is excellent for marine adventures such as seeing shipwreckss, coral gardens and coral reefs, all to be discovered and explored!
Marsa Alam is still developing as a tourist site and there are plans for huge developments but, right now, the beaches and diving sites are still uncrowded and unspoiled.
There are also camel tracks and quad biking available in the desert surrounding the town, and guides can be hired to explore the area.
