Summers in Sharm are usually very hot, with the best time to visit Sharm El Sheikh being in spring or Autumn.
If you are visiting Sharm for the first time you must have a passport that is valid and applicable for at least six months.
When you arrive in Sharm you need to get your visa stamps and fill in a landing card before passing through passport control.
Visas have to pay for with either GB£ or US$.
People from Australia, Western Europe, New Zealand and North America can get an entry visa at the airport. The visas issued at airport are valid for a month.
The local currency accepted in Sharm El Sheikh is the Egyptian pound. The exchange rates locally are normally worse than in most European/American countries.
ATMs are also widely available.
Major hotels and restaurants accept credit cards.
