Tourist Guide Keren
Keren, a highland city, is the third largest city in Eritrea. The population of this city is about 100,000 residents with a majority of them being Muslims. It is also the capital of Anseba province. Despite being a commercial hub and one of the major agricultural centres, Keren has a modest small town vibe.
Keren has a moderate climate with mild summers and adequate rainfall. However winters can be chilly at times. The hottest month is May, while December and January bring cold nights. September to February is the best time to visit.
Keren was the sight of various World War II battles. With its regal heritage still intact, Keren is an agricultural centre famous for fruit and vegetables.
