Addis Ababa, capital and largest city of Ethiopia, is located at the geographic
heart of the nation in the mountainous Shawa Province, at the foot of Mount
Entoto.
Addis Ababa, which means "New Flower" in Amharic, was founded in 1896
by Emperor Menelik II, and the city is the last in a succession of capitals
of the great Abyssinian empire dating back to the pre-Christian Axum.
Today Addis Ababa is a huge metropolis of 4 million people where modern buildings
and wide open boulevards stand side by side with historic churches, palaces
and monuments, as well as simple country-style huts.
The city is served by the modern Bole International Airport and it has a railway
connection with Djibouti.
Modern Addis Ababa also plays host to many international organizations, including
the OAU, the Economic Commission for Africa, and other multi-national bodies,
who all have their headquarters here.

Addis Ababa is the capital city of Ethiopia. It has a great weather with around 23c on average. You will find mixture of modern and cultural places and people. Good food and great coffee with special Ethiopian coffee ceremony. It is safe to move around. You can find accommodation with any sort of budget, from cheap ones to classy 5 and 4 star hotels.

The city of Addis Ababa is busy and lots of constructions is going on. The older parts of the city is being replaced by new buildings and the architecture is ugly: a mishmash of all foreign buildings. One needs to go to those classic route destinations to see our own ancient and medieval buildings.
Addis Ababa is a very nice city to be visited from each corner of the glob in any season a place where you can find " thirteen months of sunshine"
You will enjoy it in every aspect modern entertainment up to historical visit including the chance of looking the origin of man kind "LUCY"

Addis ababa is the largest, the most beautiful capital city of Ethiopia with its large working people. We Ethiopians are lucky to have beautiful natural resources, landscape and interesting historical remains. Generally I have no words to express all the beauty of Ethiopia.
Life in Addis is hard but enjoyable. The budget & the goods do not match, however any type of individual with different life status can peacefully live in Addis. That makes Addis a favourable place to live & invest.
I recently moved into Addis from another regional town. Obviously, in addition to being the country's capital, Addis is the center of culture, business, etc. You can't think of anywhere better to live in Ethiopia.
