Ethiopia Tour to the Historic Route woth Denakil depressioni and Harar : Addis ababa Adventure Travel

The Danakil or Dallol Depression is one of the remotest, lowest and unique land formations of the world located in the Ethiopian Great Rift Valley system. Still it is part of the earth which is unstable and pulling each other. In this adventure you will explore Erta Ale, absolutely unique Lava Lake erupting 24 hours and Dallol, the lowest part of Danakil Depression (116 below sea level) extremely hottest and inhospitable place but enjoyable and extraordinary colorful landscape.

It is famous for its fascinating fumaroles amazing rock formations, crystal and mineral deposits. After that, this overland adventure takes you to Lake Asale, famous salt mining lake and visits to salt workers when cutting, shaping and loading. Besides, salt merchants along with their endless Camel Caravans will be visited. 

The second overland journey will take us to the rich historical sights of Ethiopia through stunning landscape, people and villages of the Amhara, Oromo, Tigrai, Agew, Afar . . . and more. In addition to this the old aged island monasteries and the fabulous Blue Nile falls, the famous royal compound of Gonder known as the Camelot of Africa, the dramatic summit and breathtaking scenery of the Simien Mountains, with their endemic floral and fauna, the ancient Stelea, churches and tombs of the Axumite kingdom, the cliff top rock churches of Tigrai, the 12th and 13th century monolithic rock hewn churches of Lalibela can be visited.

Day 2: Time to explore the sightseeing of Addis Ababa. Overnight Hotel

Day 3: Head to Awash Park; afternoon do game drive. Overnight Hotel

Day 4: Head to Harar; in the evening visit the hyenas. Overnight Hotel

Day 5: Visit Harer; and afternoon drive back to Awash. Overnight Hotel

Day 6: Head to Semera door to the Danakil region. Overnight Camping

Day 7: Trip to Afdera where we will see salt mining. Overnight Camping

Day 11: Leave Hamed Ela and journey to Hawzen town. Overnight Hotel

Day 12: Discover the well-known rock churches of Tigrai. Overnight Hotel

Day 13: Head to Axum exploring Debre Damo and Yeha. Overnight Hotel
