Accra, Ghana’s capital and largest city, is located on the Gulf Of Guinea,
on the south west of the country.
The city has been Ghana's capital since 1877, and contains many public buildings
reflecting its transition from a 19th century suburb of Victoriaburg to the
modern metropolis it is today.
Its structure is certainly various and assorted with modern, colonial, and traditional
buildings in African style.
The capital is a very important commercial, manufacturing, and communication
centre.
It has an international airport and is the heart of the country's railroad system,
including a connection to the nearby Tema, which since 1962 has served as the
city's deepwater port.
