Abowka Island is located near Busua. It is a beautiful small island, situated a couple of hundred metres into the sea. Located in Dixcove, Fort Metal Cross is a colonial fort which, though now in ruins, definitely merits a visit.
Fort Batenstein, a half an hour drive from Busua, is located on a high hill in the neighbouring village of Butre and provides a splendid view of the coastline that lingers below.
