The tourist high season is from June to August. The country sees few tourists from September to December. Village-specific festivals and events occur throughout the year. However, the temperatures are hot and humid all year round.

Ghana’s tribes conduct several rites and rituals that are performed throughout the year in various parts of the country. The School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, Legon often hosts drama, poetry and cultural dancing shows. The festival of Panafest celebrates Ghanaian roots.
