Conakry: Attractions and more...
The Cathedral, built in the 1930s and located in the town centre, is well worth
being admired.
There is also a National Museum, with regional displays from all Guinea.
Interesting sights are also the Palais de la Presidence and the Place de la
Repubblique.
The Kakimbon Caves in the village of Ratoma, now a suburb of Conakry, are the
source of many interesting legends and are bestowed with great religious significance
by the local Baga people.
Don’t forget to enjoy some beautiful sunshine on the Kassa Island Beaches
and the Roume Island Beaches, very so close to Conakry!
