Nairobi National Museum in Nairobi

Nairobi National Museum lies at 10 min. drive from Nairobi City Center.  It houses some of the most reputed collections relating to culture, history, and art hailing from East Africa and Kenya. This museum interprets Kenyan heritage for stimulating learning and appreciation. Founded in the year 1910 by EANHS, i.e. East African Natural Society; which was known as ‘East Africa and Uganda National History Society’ then.

The museum is an experience you'll never forget. Your senses will try to judge whether evolution began in Kenya, according to this museums exhibitions of the first man. However, the difference in admission prices for tourists are a bit nerving. We were there for hours and the museum was virtually empty. Even the locals didn't seem interested.
