Greenville: Attractions and more...
The city has splendid beaches with lots of sunshine and is a good place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the daily routine. Sapo National Park is located in close vicinity of the town and is home to an amazing array of flora and fauna.
There is a hiking trek heading up from the river, which leads to wonderful campsites and trails into the forests. Many places in the city are now in ruins; in fact, they remind one of the amazing past of this place. The Presidential Palace lies in ruins after it was rampaged by an angry mob during the war.
The Greenville Church is a sad testimony to the horrors of the war. The building was used as soldiers’ headquarters during the war and still bears bullet marks on its walls. A visit to the place promises to be an educative and enriching experience for the open-minded and keen visitor.
