Morondava city is situated in the Toliara province and the Menabe region. It is the capital of Menabe in Madagascar. It is exactly to the west coast of Madagascar. One can find this amazing city in the Morandava River Delta. It became independent in 1960.
This city is popular amongst various things for its spectacular 800 year old of the dense forests of Baobabs trees. Some of the places to see and explore are the Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the Kirindi forest, a nature reserve for plants and animals.
As per the 2005 estimation, the population of Morondava had reached to 33,372 people.
With right to the climate, one can visit the city most of the year except for the months of January to early April, when due to heavy rainfall, it is inaccessible to reach some parts of the city. December has warm climate reaching to 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The coldest month is August with 61 Fahrenheit.
