Close to the Morondava village, the Rue des Baobabs is an alley which is lined with majestic baobab trees, and is also known as monkey bread trees. It is interesting fact that the species of trees can store almost 120,000 litre’s of water, which can enable them to survive drought days. This dirt road lined on both sides by the Baobab trees draws travelers from around the world, making it the most visited place in the region. This avenue is also a famous place to rest during the summer days whilst traveling.
