The best time to visit Madagascar is between the dry seasons of April and November, although June to August gets fairly cold. Cyclone season is February to March, which also sees heavy rains.
Events and Entertainment
Madagascar celebrates Independence Day on 26 June. Another interesting event is the Santabary Festival held in April/May to celebrate the rice harvest. In May, the Donia Music Festival takes place in Nossi Bé, and in December, Antananarivo hosts the Gasytsara Modern Music Festival. The months between April and October offer a lot to wildlife lovers.
