Tourist Guide Le Morne
Le Morne is located at the south-west tip of the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. It was initially the home to the slaves who escaped from their masters with the place serving as a hideout for them. At present, a large part of the population is that of the Creole people that belong to the African origin.
The island is an all year round tourist destination as it enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year. However, the summers (November to March) are a little warm and dry. Thus, visitors prefer winter (June to August) for making a trip to this place.
The landscape of this peninsula is extremely varied and includes golden beaches, pristine rivers and streams, beautiful hills, magnificent waterfalls and so forth. The economy of this small peninsula is dependent primarily on the tourism industry.
