Tourist Guide Pamplemousses
Pamplemousses is located in the northern region of the African island of Mauritius. It gets its name from the French word meaning grapefruits. It is situated very close to the town of Triolet and one of the world’s finest beaches Trou-aux-biches. One of the most visited attractions of Mauritius, the botanical garden, is located here.
Pamplemousses’ weather makes for perfect year-round sightseeing. The summer season lasts from November–March, and it can get very hot and humid during this period. Winter is from June–September and is the recommended time for tourists to visit the region.
The population of Pamplemousses is around 122,000 people. When you visit here, you will find that there is sugarcane everywhere, which is the mainstay of the economy and accounts for as much as a quarter of the total exports.
