The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolan Botanic Garden is commonly known as the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden. It is also a popular tourist attraction which is near to Port Louis and the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. This amazing garden was created in 1770 by Pierre Poivre and covers an area of 37 hectares. Some of the garden features include ebonies, spices and sugar canes.
