We ahve been living in Curepipe since september 2010. We have never had any reason to complain but for some water problem in our building. Its a lovely place to be in and so covenient from all angles. Transport is so easily available, people are so friendly and curtious, weather is so good. And everything is available at a walking distance. Even to go to far of places its very convenient. I love the church area and library is my favourite place. Life is so simple and good that we don't miss India. I wish something could be done about it to make it a real Paradise.

Always bring a sweatshirt and an umbrella. Its raining most of the time there and its the coldest part of mauritius (summer 25 - 30 degrees, summer 15-25 degrees). If you are not used to Curepipe or first time there, bring a map with you. Taxis, buses.. You won't have any transportation to get there and to leave there. Entertainment, its an old city. Not too many great shops or shopping malls, except one or two. etc... If you visiting Mauritius, you need to go on Trou Aux Cerfs, dormant historical volcano!
