Mohammedia: Attractions and more...
There are not many attractions per se in Mohammedia, and outside the summer season, the town appears almost deserted. Medina is the most vibrant and colourful section of the city. The colourful buildings with narrow lanes intertwining between them will transport you back in time. The beach and the port area, on the other hand, are bordered with wide roads and promenades. The sea and the coast are pretty well maintained and clean; deep-sea fishing facilities are available.
The Mohammedia Royal Golf Club is very popular with European tourists as it is fitted with the best of golfing facilities. The Cap Mohammedia—a lighthouse—stands on a headland close to the harbour.
Casablanca, one of the richest and most stylish cities of the country, is a short distance away. Many of the locals as well as tourists to Casablanca get attracted to the quiet, peaceful ambience of Mohammedia.
