The city of Essaouira is at the costal line of the African continent. But here the costal stretch is full rocks and very few beaches are seen. Due to the rocks and numerous numbers of creeps, fishing is done here in large scale. In fact Essaouira comes under the biggest fish markets in the world. The fish available in this area are of high quality and of great taste. It is the only market in Africa where the fishes are taxed before selling.
