During winters, Ifrane becomes a ski haven. There are several ski resorts on the hills, and the facilities provided are of a good standard. During summers, the mountain hills are lush and green ideal for hiking or walking through the many trails. Adventure sports enthusiasts may also indulge in mountaineering, rock climbing etc.
Ifrane Buttes is an observation deck that has been carved into the mountains by the forces of nature. It is ideal for spectacular views of the ravines and valleys below. Further along are the beautiful cascades known as Vittel Springs. Just outside the town is the Dayet Aoua, a picturesque lake.
The historical city of Fez, believed to be one of the four imperial cities of the country, is just a half hour drive from Ifrane. It especially comes alive in the beginning of June when the World Sacred Musical Festival attracts renowned performers from all over the world.
