The pink ramparts of Marrakech are there since the Middle Ages, are a perfect example of a beautiful fortress walls and are a vital landmark to see. These well preserved sights offer the way of lifestyle of the people back then and the palaces and mansions which these ramparts protected. This 10 meter and 33 feet high ramparts were built to keep out any outsider from entering the city premises. Encircling the old city of Marrakech, this wall is almost a thousand years old and extends to 12 miles in an unbroken circle.
