Tourist Guide Swakopmund:

Swakopmund is a beach city in Namibia. It falls under the Erongo administrative division. Being the second largest city, Swakopmund has a total area of 181 sq km. With the Atlantic Ocean on its west, the city is bounded by the Namib Desert on three sides.

The coastal city of Swakopmund has a temperate climate. The mean temperatures of the city ranges between 15°C and 25°C. The city receives very less rainfall, about 15 mm annually. The main source of moisture for the flora and fauna in the city is fog, which can be attributed to the Benguela Current. Due to its climate, the city serves as the traditional summer capital of Namibia.
 
The city has an approximate population of 35,000 inhabitants. Founded in 1892 by Captain Curt van Francois, Swakopmund served as the central harbour for the German South West Africa.

Something not to miss in Swakopmund, is to go on a Dolphin Cruise with Ocean Adventures. It is great to have a transfer to the boat and back to the hotel for free and the cruise is just great with a very friendly crew. Having seals on board, viewing dolphins jump next to the boat and meet with pelican "JJ" and his family! An awesome experience!!!

It is the best coastal town to visit when you are on holiday.. there is a lot of activities to do, very Entertaining town!!! From kids to eldery there's always something to do... safe to have a tour in town and location. Historical monuments, road is roadworthy. Nice restaurants in town, local food are also available.

Do not mis Napolitana Pizzaria & Grill best food Best Spare rib and very affordable. Snake Park a must see and get your photo taken with the snakes. Fishing trip always fun on land or on sea. Paintball is fun and of course a walk on the Jetty. What is a visit to Swakopmund without a walk on the jetty?

Swakopmund is a wonderful place it has the best schools in the region and any child comes to these schools will get the best education especially at namib primary swakop also has a wonderful beach and lots more excitement.
