Tsumeb has a lot to offer to its visitors. The Tsumeb Museum exhibits a vast collection of the area’s rare minerals and mining history, Bushmen and Himba artefacts and details of the German Colonial forces.
The Tsumeb Cultural Village is an open-air museum, which offers a detailed insight in to the lives of the Namibian tribes. Forming the basis of the city, the Old Mines is the premiere attraction in the city, which is now being developed in to a tourist spot.
Otjikoto Lake has a lot of historical significance and hence is a popular site. During German occupation, all war equipment and weapons, including brass cannons, were dumped in this lake to prevent the British from obtaining them.
Lake Guinas can be visited fro its natural beauty and fishes such as the cichlid fish, which is endemic to this lake. A site not to be missed is the Hoba Meteorite. This famous lump of rock is apparently the world’s heaviest metallic meteorite to be found on earth.
