Niamey is a sparkling city with lovely things to visit and enjoy.
The National Museum of Niger, situated right in the middle of Niamey, presents
a great variety of the country’s culture. Very charming is the reconstitution
of Niger different habitats: djerma, haoussa, peul, touareg and their domestic
tools and objects.
The Large Mosque of Niamey, a fantastic green building with a supreme panoramic
view of the city from the top of the minaret.
The two market places are worth visiting.
On Sundays it will be certainly fun going to the Hippodrome and watch the horse
and camel races.
Just outside Niamey there is the ‘W’ National Park, with its rich
wildlife including buffalos, elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals and baboons.
