Abuja: Attractions and more...
The Aso Rock, a huge granite monolith located in close proximity to Abuja City.
The term ‘Aso' means victory in the native language, and the locals are
called “Asokoro” or the people of victory. The imposing Zuma Rock,
on the road from Abuja to Kaduna, is worth a visit, too.
The Gawa Hills and Gwagwa Hills near Suleja, the Chukuku hills and the Agwai
hills hold strong attractions for all lovers of nature and especially for rock
climbers.
Attractions in the city are: the International Conference Centre, the National
Mosque, the City Gate and the Julie Useni Park.
The Wuse and the New are local markets not to be missed at all!
