The Rose Lake in Malika ,Dakar, deserves its reputation, you can spend a day there having a wonderful time, and also watch everyday life of fishermen and salt workers.
In your day there at Rose Lake dotted nicely with refreshing palm trees and green areas you can appreciate the subtle or dramatic colour variations according to the position of the sun and the clouds lining the wide open sky. Under palmtrees you might set up a lovely barbeque with freshly grilled fish bought from the fishermen... there are moments in any journey that just have to be lived and remain unforgettable more than told.
You might also visit the town of Malika nearby with its villages and, now, becoming more and more a residential area with its new constructions, incorporated in the city of Dakar the little Malika with its recently built mosques and a church. Well wotrh a visit!
