Dakar is site of several fine museums, as the IFAN Museum of West African culture
which displays a great number of artefacts from across Africa.
There are two big markets in Dakar:
Marché Kermel, the main tourist market;
Marché Sandage, where can be found a wonderful amount of clothing and
cloth.
Dakar’s main beaches include the Plage Bel-Air and the cleanest N’Gor
and Yoff.
Other good beaches near the city are Yenn and Toubab Dialao which are famous
for their spectacular red cliffs.
Other attractions in Dakar include Dakar Grand Mosque, built in 1964, the Institut
Fondamental d’Afrique Noir, the President’s Palace, the National
Gallery and the Hann Park, home to Senegal Zoo.
