Flora and Fauna
Frégate boasts a treasure trove of flora and flora that includes the extremely rare Seychelles magpie robin a recently introduced colony of another endemic species, the Seychelles white-eye. The island also hosts the world’s only population of the giant tenebrionid beetle as well as numerous giant tortoises.
During the course of recent years several native trees have been propagated
and replanted on this, one of the most fertile of the granitic islands.
