On Table Mountain, about 10 meters above Cape Town, you get a beautiful 360 degree view of the city.

There are 2 kilometers of pathways taking you to enchanting views of Table Bay, Robben Island, Cape Flats and the Cape Peninsula.

There are a couple of free guided tours available for you to take part in.

There are also many different walks you can chose from, such as the Dassie Walk, which takes you through marvellous views of the north, south and west, or the Klipspringer Walk, which takes you along the edge of the plateau to above Platteklip Gorge.

The diversity of flora is spectacular with close to 1500 species of plants on Table Mountain.

There is also a Table Mountain National Park, said to be among the richest area for flora in the world.

There are many different and quite colourful birds visible from the top of the plateau.
