5 Days around Cape Town relaxation tour:
Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town
Upon your arrival at Cape Town International airport, you will be met by Epic Enabled and escorted in our accessible vehicle along the scenic route to Noordhoek your Guesthouse which is only 30 minutes from the hustle of the Mother City. It is a place to unwind, relax and enjoy the beginning of your Cape Town experience.
Day 2: City centre, Table Mountain & Signal Hill
We start the day with an orientation drive through the city centre of Cape Town – “The Mother City” as it is also known before we drive to the Cable Car Station of Table Mountain. After an exiting cable car ride to the top of majestic Table Mountain we explore the different pathways and see Cape Town from a different angle. Once you return we make our way to Signal Hill for another breath taking view. Thereafter we take our picturesque drive “home” along the famous Chapman's Peak, which is considered one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world.
Day 3: Cape Point & Penguins
A trip to Cape Point is a must for any Cape Town visitor which Explorer Sir Francis Drake called “the fairest Cape that we saw in the whole circumference of the Globe”. On our way to the Cape we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders beach and then enjoy the scenic route to the southern end of the Cape Peninsula which boasts two points of interest; the ‘Cape of Good Hope’ and the more southerly and slightly higher ‘Cape Point’. For the early seafarers the Cape of Good Hope marked the turning point in their luck because once the "Cape of Storms", as Bartholomeus Diaz called it in 1488, had been passed, the battle against the sea was basically won.
Cape Point is the most South-Westerly point of Africa, it's where the cold Beguela current on the West coast and the warm Agulhas current on the East coast merge, it's one of the highest sea cliffs in the world - 249 m above sea level, and is a paradise for nature lovers, with at least 250 species of birds, approximately 1,100 indigenous plant species, some of which occur no where else on earth, and has a variety of buck, baboons and other animals.
Day 4: Stellenbosch Winefarms
The fertile green valleys of the Cape Winelands are surrounded by proud mountain ranges. The Mediterranean climate and winter rainfall of the south-western Cape produce some of the best wines in the country.
Just 30 minutes from Cape Town and about the same distance from Noordhoek, lies the beautiful little town of Stellenbosch, shaded by ancient oak trees. Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa, and lies at the heart of this winemaking area. It is a gorgeous, historical university town with some of the best-preserved Victorian and Georgian buildings along Dorp Street. We visit 2-3 winefarms and taste the magnificent different wines of the cape. You also have the opportunity to buy the wines and other souvenirs on the winefarms.
Day 5: Waterfront
In the morning we visit the Waterfront where you have the opportunity to shop until you drop! There are hundreds of shops, markets, restaurants, bars, the spectacular Ocean Aquarium, boat cruises in the Harbour, trips out to Robben Island (probably the most famous island due to the fact that Nelson Mandela was held there as a political prisoner for many years. It is now a national museum), listen to some of the street musicians and much more.
After lunch we return to your Guesthouse where you can relax once more before your airport transfer in time for your flight home.
