The structure where the wine museum is located is housed in a home stead of Lambertus Fick and the Kriges who are known to be the oldest families in the city of Stellenbosch. The structure dates back to the 18th century and of national importance. The museum informs it visitors about the way wine have been prepared in the region over the period of time.
