Upington is a city located in the Northern Cape province, in South Africa, right on the banks of the Orange River.
The place is well known for its quality grapes, cultived on the rich flood pains of the Orange River and exported all over the world. For this reason, Upington is famous fot its wines which are sold to Europe and USA, too.
Most interesting places to visit are the SA Dried Fruit Cooperative and the Mill, where you can taste local delights. Also the Orange River Wine Route is worth a visit.
