This is the reason that the town has been included in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites in 2000. Also known as Mji Mkongwe, the neighborhood is an old part of Zanzibar city in Tanzania.
The neighborhood is a city of prominent historical and artistic significance in East of Africa.
The architecture dates back to the 19th century and is worth exploring. Due to its heritage, the district is a major tourist attraction in Tanzania.
