Tourist Guide Togoville
Togoville is a town in southern Togo. It is situated on the northern shore of Lake Togo.
The region experiences a tropical climate. It has two wet seasons: April-July and October-November.
The driest and hottest months are February and March.
Historically Togoville is known as the place where the local chief, Mlapa III signed a peace treaty with the Germans, giving them all rights over Togo.
It is also the place from where slaves and the voodoo culture where transported to Haiti.
Handicrafts and agriculture form the base of the economy.
