Bey Youssef Fountain was built in 1642. This fountain is situated at the Vieux Port in Bizerte and is elegant Moorish fountain. It is roofed with green glazed tiles. At present, this fountain is dry. But at first it was famed for the quality of its water. There was also a saying with an inscription in Arabic and Turkish attests. “Drink of the spring of Paradise and one will be the better of it”, is what the inscription said.
