Tunisia is very popular among European travelers and such beach towns as Sousse and Hammamet became huge tourist attractions. The hotel beaches are private and used by hotel guests and paying Tunisians only, so they don't get too crowded, unless the hotel is overbooked.
Both of the areas have gorgeous hotel beaches. Tunisia can really be proud of its great beaches. Chott Meriam beach for example could be considered the best in Tunisia. Located near Sousse it is a white sand clean, very beautiful beach. Some of the main tourist attractions in terms of holidays are such resort towns as Sousse, Ghar El-Melh, Sidi El Mekki, Sounine, Raf Raf and Djerba. Sidi Mahres is one of the most popular beaches in Djerba. The magical sunsets of Djerba are just unforgettable!
Plage de Sidi Mahrès is Djerba's main beach it is a 17 km. long plage in the northeast. It is up to 50 m. wide and falls flat into the sea. Lounger and parasol hire, various sports facilities as well as snack bars and cafes are numerous. Thereafter, to the southeast of, the much smaller, sometimes even stony beach of Seguia is to explore!
