Don't miss the tour with a visit to the oasis towns of Tataouine and Tozeur, and the schott el jerid and the dunes of the sandy desert. As well as this, you should see the Houmt Souk market, it's very picturesque and you can buy local products. Apart from this, for those who like it, there are also many carpet factories where they sell hand woven carpets.

Djerba is the largest island in the Gulf of Gabes, off the coast of Tunisia. It is home to an estimated 60 000 people.

Djerba is well known for its mild and temperate winters and long hot summers.

The island is known as the legendary home of the 'lotus eaters' and Ulysses himself.
Today it is a very popular tourist destination.

Djerba is the center of the Al-Ibadhiyah sect of Islam and also has a noted Jewish minority.
La Griba Synagogue is one of the holiest Jewish sites in North Africa. It draws pilgrims from across the country every May.
