Borj El Kebir is one of the most ancient forts in the whole of Tunisia. Over its lifetime it was owned by many dynasties. It was basically built by the king of Sicily. Later on the Romans captured it from the king. This fort was the 1st hardcore establishment of the Romans in Africa. Later it became the 1st headquarter of the Romans. It is a very vast fort with its grandness spread over the entire area.
