Musee du patrimoine traditionnel

The Traditional Heritage Museum is located in Djerba, an island with varied and rich heritage. The museum of traditional heritage or Musee du patrimoine traditionnel is a worth visiting place to witness the preserved cultural heritage involving the work of extension of Sidi Zitouni mausoleum and is home to ancient museum of Houmt Essouk.  The museum is set up in an area of 2000 meter square.  This museum is recently undergoing redevelopment to combine thoroughness of information and aesthetics of the exhibition. 

The museum has been attracting various tourists throughout Tunisia with its splendid typicality and heritage since many years.  Here, one can experience the island folklore, the economy through display of jewelry, colored glasses, traditional costumes of many social groups and others.  There are both permanent as well as temporary display exhibitions held here at this museum.
