Guellala is the famous for its potters. The city lies 11 Kilometers to the south of Er. Riadh and is known locally as village of potters.

The major tourist attraction in this place is its main street comprising various work shops or the souvenir stalls and museums.

You can shop in these shops for ceramic pots and storage jars made of ancient amphora.

This specialty pottery is renowned for its quality vessels.

More famous, is the magic camel, a mug with a spout in the shape of a Camel’s head and holes in top and bottom.  The magic in these mugs are that the water poured from one hole does not come out from another!!

Pottery in this city, especially in Guellala is one of the oldest in the Mediterranean basin.  There are also guided tours to this pottery town market which is full of surprises too.  The manufacturing of pottery is done through generations passed from a father to his son.
